More About Me
I’m Connor Bartle. Sports have been a huge part of my life since I was young. I’ve played multiple sports at various levels, and currently, I’m proud to compete in the Southern Premier League in football, which is at step 6 in the pyramid. One of my most memorable moments was playing in the First Round of the FA Cup – a dream come true for any footballer.

More About Me
Since studying childcare at college, I have had the opportunity to work in a wide range of educational settings. My first job was in a local secondary school where I worked for over 10 years teaching alternative pathways to KS4. Before joining the APT team, I worked at Derby College as a job coach supporting young people aged 16-24 to experience the world of work. My favourite part of my job is that no day is ever the same, I love the variety the role has to offer especially visiting our young people at their provisions.

More About Me
Not many people will know that outside of school, I am the Historian & Archivist for Derbyshire pottery T.G.Green & Co Ltd, once based in Church Gresley, near Swadlincote. Famous for its Blue & White striped ‘Cornish Kitchen Ware’. (My mission is to convert all the Esteem Valley Academy crockery to Cornishware !). I spend a lot of time up on Ynys Môn (Isle of Anglesey) and have been learning to speak Cymraeg (Welsh) for three years. Diolch yn fawr i pawb ! 🙂

More About Me
After completing a teaching degree, I gained 4 years experience teaching primary children in mainstream education. Following this, I taught and tutored key skills online to a range of different people and most recently, worked as an activities coordinator in a care home for the elderly alongside people living with dementia.Outside of school, you’ll catch me spending my spare time either exploring castles, historical houses or failing that, I’ll be walking my adorable dog. On rainy days, you’ll find me inside with a good cuppa and a fictional novel.
